Countdown to Season 6: All Creatures Great and Small’s Release Date Confirmed — Prepare for Major Revelations

All Creatures Great and Small season 6 will start on Thursday, September 25, at 9 pm.
There will also be a Christmas special, which, as expected, will air around Christmas time.

US fans might have to wait until early 2026 for the season to be available on PBS Masterpiece.

The show teases: “We find our beloved Skeldale gang in a slightly different situation as we join them in 1945, just as the war in Europe is coming to a close.
We return to Darrowby to see new developments in veterinary care, bigger families, and new faces as they all look forward to a better, more peaceful future.

“This season will follow Herriot’s amazing characters as they deal with the opportunities of a new world, a wide range of animals, both big and small, and of course, each other.”

Cast

Nicholas Ralph is back as James Herriot, the devoted vet.
He will be joined by Samuel West as Siegfried Farnon. Anna Madeley returns as Mrs Hall, and Rachel Shenton is back as Helen Herriot. Callum Woodhouse plays Tristan Farnon, who is still serving in the Royal Army Veterinary Corps.

Patricia Hodge is back as Mrs Pumphrey, with her beloved Pekingese, Tricki.
Also in the cast are Tony Pitts as Helen’s strict father, Richard Alderson, and Imogen Clawson as her lively younger sister, Jenny.

New cast members include Lucy-Jo Hudson (from Hollyoaks and Wild at Heart), Gaia Wise (from The Dead of Winter and The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim), Jonathan Hyde (from The Brutalist and Titanic), Philip Martin Brown (from Waterloo Road and Tinker, Soldier, Spy), and Chris Gascoyne (from The Feud and Patience).
Returning guest stars are Mollie Winnard, Conor Deane, Cat Simmons, and Lamin Touray.
