What Can We Expect from Season 7?
The cast and showrunner have dropped some wonderful hints about what’s coming.
- Mel & Jack’s “Honeymoon Phase”: After the wedding of our dreams, showrunner Patrick Sean Smith confirmed we’ll get to see Mel and Jack in their “honeymoon phase.” They’ll also be busy building their new life on the farm and, as hinted, will be exploring their path to parenthood through adoption.
- The S6 Cliffhanger: Don’t worry, they won’t make us wait. The new season is set to pick up just hours after the Season 6 finale, so we will find out exactly what Jack saw in that nursery.
- New Faces: We have new characters checking into town! I’ve learned that Sara Canning (The Vampire Diaries) is joining as an ex-cop named Victoria, and Cody Kearsley (Riverdale) will play a rodeo worker named Clay.
- A Sad Goodbye (Sort of): It’s been confirmed that Mark Ghanimé (Dr. Cameron) will not be a series regular in Season 7. His story with Muriel came to a nice end, so he’s moving on from Virgin River.
- Doc and Hope’s Next Fight: After Season 6 ended with Doc’s medical license being suspended, we’re going to see him and Hope fight back against the forces trying to take over the clinic.
