The most exciting piece of information I have found about Season 3 isn’t just when it is coming, but who is coming with it.

It has been confirmed that the incredible Eva Green is joining the cast! She will be playing Aunt Ophelia, Morticia’s sister. If you watched Season 2, you know this was hinted at heavily. Ophelia is often portrayed as the polar opposite of Morticia—sunny, chaotic, and loud—which is going to be absolutely hilarious to watch against Jenna Ortega’s deadpan performance.

Eva Green is a perfect match for the Tim Burton aesthetic (she starred in his Miss Peregrine movie), and seeing her interact with Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia) is going to be a television highlight of 2027.

What Will Season 3 Be About?

 

While the writers are keeping specific plot points under lock and key, we can piece together the direction based on how Season 2 ended.

• The Mystery of Aunt Ophelia: With Eva Green cast, a major chunk of the story will revolve around why Ophelia has been distant and what secrets she holds about the Frump/Addams family lineage.

• Wednesday’s Evolution: Jenna Ortega has been very vocal about wanting to lean more into the horror aspect and less into the romance. Season 2 delivered on this, and Season 3 is expected to go even darker.

• Enid’s Leadership: Our favorite colorful werewolf, Enid, really stepped up in the last season. Season 3 will likely explore her role as a leader within her pack and how she balances that with her friendship with Wednesday.
