If you are like me, you probably just finished binge-watching Record of Ragnarok Season 3, which finally dropped on Netflix in December 2025. We witnessed some of the most intense battles yet, with the fate of humanity hanging by a thread. The clash between gods and humans has never been bloodier or more emotional. But as the dust settles on the latest round, I know exactly what you are thinking because I am thinking it too: “When do we get to see the next fights? When is Season 4 coming?”
I have been tracking the manga updates, analyzing the anime’s release schedule, and keeping an eye on Netflix’s announcements to figure out exactly when we can expect the tournament to continue. Here is everything I know about the future of Ragnarok.
However, you don’t need to panic. The series is incredibly popular, and the lack of an immediate announcement is normal. Based on the manga’s current progress and the show’s previous release schedule, my strongest prediction is that Season 4 will release in late 2027 or early 2028.
Why We Have to Wait (The Manga Problem)
The main reason for this long wait is simple: We need more fights to animate!
Here is the breakdown of how the anime adapts the manga:

Season 1: Covered Rounds 1–3.

Season 2: Covered Rounds 4–6.

Season 3 (Released Dec 2025): Covered Rounds 7–9.
This means Season 4 will need to cover Rounds 10, 11, and 12 to keep the same pace.
Here is the catch: As of right now (late 2025), the manga is still in the middle of these rounds. Round 10 (Okita Souji vs. Susano’o no Mikoto) has concluded, and Round 11 is currently ongoing in the manga. Round 12 hasn’t even started yet!
Since each round takes about a year to finish in the manga, the source material for Season 4 literally doesn’t exist yet. We will likely have to wait until at least 2027 for the manga to finish Round 12, which means the anime production can’t fully start until then.
