Stop the Presses — Landman Season 3 Has a Release Date and It’s Sooner Than Expected

When Does Filming Start?

The cast isn’t taking much of a break. Sam Elliott (who plays the glorious T.L.) dropped a major hint in a recent interview, stating that filming for Season 3 is set to commence “soon.”

Given that Season 2 wrapped filming in the summer of 2025 to make its November premiere, we can expect the cameras to start rolling on Season 3 in early spring 2026. This schedule gives the production team plenty of time to edit the show and have it ready for that prime November slot next year.

What About the Taylor Sheridan “Exit”?

You might have seen headlines about creator Taylor Sheridan leaving Paramount for NBCUniversal. I looked into this to see if it would affect Landman.

Here is the deal: Sheridan is moving to NBC, but his contract with Paramount doesn’t expire until 2028. This means he will still be the creative force behind Landman for Season 3 (2026), Season 4 (2027), and likely Season 5 (2028). The show is safe, and the creative vision isn’t going anywhere.
