Jason Sudeikis is returning, but maybe not as much as before.
On his podcast, *The Town*, Matt Belloni said that Jason Sudeikis might not be in every episode of season 4.
There will be many familiar faces, but Sudeikis will have a smaller role.
Even if this isn’t true, we still expect to see plenty of Ted in season 4, but maybe not as much as in the past.
This isn’t too surprising, as Ted stepped back a bit in season 3 to let the other characters shine more.
Season 4 might follow a similar path.
One big storyline for season 4 will be the creation of AFC Richmond’s first women‘s team.
Jason Sudeikis confirmed this on a podcast:
*“We’re writing season four now; that’s the official word.
Ted’s coaching a women’s team.”*
It’s likely the men‘s team will still be around, but the show will also introduce a women‘s team for the first time.
When can we expect season 4 on Apple TV+?
Production started this summer, but there are still many unknowns.
Unless there are big delays, season 4 should be out sometime in 2026—maybe as early as the summer.
